Samurai 7

So, somehow on my random searches of Amazon, I stumbled upon an anime series based on Seven Samurai, and am wondering what some of the OS anime fans think about the series: Samurai 7? I've watched a couple anime movies. There was one I watched last year, Princess...something. I forget exactly, just remember Billy Bob Thorton was the voice of a priest/medicine man.

Any impressions?

I'm also curious about Howl's Moving Castle.

I was just thinking about trying to start an anime thread cause I desperately want to start collecting, renting, and watching as many as I can. I guess I'm trying to get into too many hobbies. Still, if you have any ideas of good ones, drop some lines. Definitely heard that S7 was a great movie from a lot of kats.......

Did you get that Samurai 7 joint? I'm now checking out all the anime I can get whenever I can. Stuff is great on the real. Any fans out there have suggestions? Where the heck can I rent some easily?

Fresh, I think the movie you're reffering to is Princess Mononoke. Gillian Anderson(X-fiiles), Jada Pinkett Smith and others are in it along with Billy Bob. Great movie...

Samurai 7 is ok as far as a series goes. I personally reccomend the following:

Samurai Champloo(series) music: A+ animation: A story: B+
Spirited Away(movie) music: A animation: A+ story: A+
Samurai Deeper KYO(series): music: B animaton: A story: A
Cowboy Bebop(series) (movie available also) music : A+ animation: A story: B
