    iPod question

I recently purchased an iPod nano(4GB) and was wondering how i could change the bit size of songs that i had previously downloaded? Some of the bit sizes on the songs i have take up too much space. Does anyone know any program that can reduce the size?

    Re: iPod question

You're going to lose sound quality if you do that. I don't know of any programs that do that though.

I don't think that's possible to shrink the bit size.

There will be a slight decline in overall sound quality but not too much. Just make sure to keep the originals and do some comparisions. If you can't hear it or can barely here it then I would go ahead and keep the new, smaller files and delete the old ones.

That's what I use to convert variable bit rate files to constant bit rate. Works great, and it's free.

                      Take care,

Sure you can...but the sound quality won't go up.

I'm trying to install my sister's ipod. Does anyone know how much disk space you need? I have a good processor and running on windows xp, but there is olny a max of 256 MB on my computer and I'm having trouble installing it for her.
