Does anybody know of any good websites that have good guitar tabs. With my school and work schedule taking up most of my time last semester, I was forced to stop learning how to play, but now I'm starting up again since I have free time. It kind of sucks because my finger tips aren't hard anymore. Anyway, if somebody could link me to some good guitar tab sites, I'd be mighty thankful.

www.ultimate-guitar.com has become the best tablature site that I've come across.

The MPA is going to open up a can on a bunch of sites for posting tablature and lyrics. It looks like ultimate guitar will survive for a while, but a lot of other sites will proabably be shut down. I think mxtabs is gone already. This is a crock of you know what imo.

MX is working out legal issues right now trying to get it's stuff back up. I usually go there everyday, this issue pisses me off to no end.

MPA president Lauren Keiser said he wanted site owners to be jailed.

He said unlicensed guitar tabs and song scores were widely available on the internet but were "completely illegal".

Mr Keiser said he did not just want to shut websites and impose fines, saying if authorities can "throw in some jail time I think we'll be a little more effective".

Wow, I had no idea this was going on. What a shame that it has come to this. People developing a skill, a hobby, are now committing a crime. Absolutely shameful.

Imagine going to jail for running a tablature site. Especially when 99% of the submitted tablature is people's interpretation of the music, not a copy of the sheet music. Just sad.
