    Female Vocalists, Bands, and Rappers

Okay. I'm going to make this simple and sweet. I would like to get into some good female bands (whether they're all female or just vocas) and what not. So, if anybody has a good female vocalist, female band, or female rapper to suggest, this is the thread to do it in.

rilo kiley- indie and they're folk/poppish.. i would suggest getting their newest album "more adventurous".. since there's lots of "catchy songs".. they have like two before that..

if you like this type of alternative music, then you might get a bump in your pants when you hear the lead singer jenny lewis sing her little heart out.

Heart is my favourite but I like Neko Case solo and the band she plays in called the New Pornographers.

Jill Scott latest album was excellent if you're a R&B fan. India Arie is good as well......much better than Alicia Keys who is really, really overrated.

I'll just mention ones not already listed:

                              Sleater-Kinney
                              Yeah Yeah Yeahs
                              X

                              some of my favorites.
I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!
