sure most of these albums have a lot of repeated tracks between them, but what they do prove is that Saigon is very nice. i've probably listened to Saigon more than any other rapper this year and i'm anticipating his LP dropping next year like a fiend. on top of just being a great rapper, i just think his mentality is good for hip hop. he's opinionated and not scared to speak his mind regardless of what most people might think. he's been through a lot of stuff and he's honest about the downsides of it. he's already blown up quite a bit this year despite not having released anything officially, 2006 is gonna be a big year for him. with just blaze behind him and one of the sicker deliveries out there he can't go wrong. working with scram jones (another one of my favorites) a lot doesn't hurt either...

Yeah i co-sign. Saigon actually lived what he speaks...He's not your average street rapper. Dude is extremely talented and creative and actually is trying to send a positive message not to do what he did.OS Madden league (360) Giants: 0-0

Re: Hip Hop: 2006 is the year of Saigon
I usually don't like rappers that come out of the mold of Saigon (NY mixtape rappers that have tons of hype but never really do anything and always drop wack albums) but his albums have really suprised me. The Greatest Story Never Told got a decent amount of time in my car this autumn even with all the other great albums this year.
His flow could get a little bit better and a times he mumbles, IMO, but I'm a big fan of his subject matter and his lyrics are usually tight. Plus he seems to make me laugh more than any other rapper, he def drops some humorous lines. I just hope he can put together a solid, start-to-finish retail album in '06."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

papoose immediately comes to mind when you mention ny mixtape rappers that don't live up to their hype. i think pap could be halfway decent if he didn't force a million multi's on every track. it's his inability to change up his style that kills him because he has talent.Comment

Re: Hip Hop: 2006 is the year of Saigon
Wasn't Saigon on Entourage one episode? Rabbit found his mixtape in their stolen car and he liked it and pitched that the maker of Vince's new movie use it for the credits?
I'm not really all that into rap, just figured I'd throw that out there.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
