Anybody remember the Death Wish movies?...

With Charles Bronson. They have been playing them on TV the last few days. I liked the first two, watching him dish out dirt naps to the bad guys. Things really got silly it parts 3, 4, and 5 though. Still has one of the best lines ever though.

Bronson: Do you believe in Jesus?
    Bad Guy: Yes.
Bronson: Good, because your about to meet him. BANG!
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

Haha, I don't remember which one, but a friend of mine made us sit through one of those movies. It was either 2 or 3, based on what you said I would guess 3 because it was just ridiculous. One of the best un-intentional comedys I have seen.

Although the 1st one seems dated now, this was a big movie when it first came out and very controversial. Unfortunately the impact of the 1st one was watered down once those wretched sequals came out which apparently were made just to keep Bronson with a steady paycheck.

The first one was a damn fine movie. I always liked Charlie Bronson. If you want to see another good Bronson film see if you can find a flick called Telefon. It's a pretty darn good Cold War movie. Here's the description from IMDB:

The KGB's looking for one of their people, a man named Dalchimsky cause he has stolen something important but unfortunately he manages to get through the border. Later in the U.S. some seemingly ordinary people after receiving a phone call go out and destroy key American military installations. Back in the U.S.S.R. General Strelsky and Colonel Malchenko send for Grigori Borzov, a KGB agent who has been to the U.S. on missions before. They inform him that after the U-2 incident in fear of the possibility that a war with the U.S. will occur; they were part of an operation called TELEFON that involved recruiting young agents and then brainwashing them into believing that they are Americans they would then assume the identity of an American who died a long and who would be their age now. They would be situated in a city that is near or where a key U.S. military installation is location. They were also programmed to destroy upon receiving the command phrase. They have been fortunate that they have never had to send them on their missions. But they believe that Dalchimsky stole the book that lists all the TELEFON agents and is now sending them out on their suicide missions. It also seems that the current KGB Chairman is unaware of TELEFON so Strelsky and Malchenko want Borzov to go to America and find Dalchimsky before he starts World War 3. Borzov who is endowed with a photographic memory, memorizes the second TELEFON book and goes to America and is aided by Barbara.
Unfortunately according to IMDB the movie is only out on VHS in Canada. Maybe you can find it for cheap on Ebay or on tv. I saw the movie in England.
