    Howard Stern

I'm interested to hear what his big announcement will be next week. Watch him announce he's getting married......

The King of all Media will be on Larry King tommorow at 6pm. I'll be watching it.

Now that the shackles are off, he should be putting out a better product. Of course this could also mean more graphic stories from Richard Christy, which I'm sure most of the audience doesn't want to hear.

Yep I think Howard's jump the shark moment was his big screen movie.

I have to agree here...Leykis pisses me off sometimes when I listen, he's an ******* at times, but Howard's just annoying, his bit is so old and tired. Like 10 years ago he was hip and fun to listen to, not as much nowadays

be glad... even though i have both radios, i find O & A's talk highly addictive & entertaining.. they do more that Howie's "look at pretty women, discuss their looks" entertainment..

Howard Stern's listening audience is an older audience anyway. He still has a huge following from people that have been listening to him for years.

I mean it's like anything, it eventaully goes out of style but he's still will draw a huge audience of guys in there 30's-40's.

Yep, that and his divorce. His show went into the sh*tter during his divorce. You could tell that losing Alison really hurt him, and he went through the motions with tired, old lesbian skits for months during the breakup.

Most people disagree with me on this, but losing Jackie Martling was a big blow, too. Jackie may have been annoying on the air, but he and Fred Norris formed one hell of a writing partnership.

Hmm ... I'm 40, and I think Stern jumped the shark about six or seven years ago.

I still think Imus is funnier than any of the morning hosts these days. Maybe because Imus is funny and topical. I guess I've finally outgrown toilet and lesbian humor.

Obviously not everyone in the age range is going to like Howard Stern. Just because you think he's not as entertaining anymore doesn't change that his audience will still be in that range. I mean I am 32 and don't really listen to him either but there are a bunch of people I know in that age range that listen to him. Ok, I don't have the stats for his listening audience. That age range is a guess based on the people I know. Hell, I could be wrong on the age range but regardless the guy still has a huge listening audience and I am guessing most of them are in the 30-40+ age range.

One thing I've noticed about these forumns often is that when someone makes a statement someone will respond with " Well I'm that and I don't think like that." When someone makes a statement like I made it is not a blanket statement and I am not talking directly at each individual reader/poster.

Now if I would have said all 30-40 years olds like Howard Stern then you've got me.

The worst part about that time that turned me off of the show was how he would just flip out like every other day. Flip on callers and just yell into the microphone. I turned him off then and haven't really listened since then.

I only know of him because of this whole thing with Jenna Jameson. Otherwise, I've only heard the name.
