    The Oscar host is...............

    Jon Stewart
    http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,271|99411|1|,00.html

I felt like Chris Rock bombed last year because he had to tone down his act and cater to a different audience.

I'm sure the more conservative members of this forum are groaning audibly. I like Stewart. He's a very funny guy.

Stewart's best performance to date was in Big Daddy.

Yeah, I said it. You gotta problem with that?

Well, how would that make him any different than the others. LOL.

He makes me laugh, wrong as he may be.

Stewart's act is stale. I would have liked to see someone younger, more refreshing.

His best performance was on Crossfire.

I would like to see Conan O'Brien get a crack at it.

The Oscars have always been about tradition and going with a more established MC.

Everytime they've tried something different it falls apart. Two prime examples are David Letterman and Whoopi Goldberg.

I feel like Letterman gets a bad rap for his Oscar performance. I actually thought he did a solid job except for one big joke. Most people only remember his Oprah/Uma joke that bombed.

I'm a big Letterman fan and I thought his performance overall was pretty bad. He was clearly a bit tight and wowed by the big lights aspect of it all.
