    The PC of the future

Well, according to 1954 scientist. I'm sure this has been posted a some time during OSs life span so if you've seen this pic before, then just disregard it. Anyways, I saw this pic and damn near spit out my coffee. In the 1954 issue of Popular Mechanics, this is how scientist thought computers would look like by 2004. Oh how off they were.

Yep computers were pretty much huge hulking machines that did calculations etc etc. They were very much impractical. It's amazing how technology has made electronics smaller and smaller.

This right here shows me that we as humans can never predict the future of anything. Like how many project flying cars will populate the earth by 2022 or how the home of the future will look. I might as well stop watching Beyond Tommorow on the Science channel.

BTW, whats up with that huge wheel on that machine. The entire thing looks like it could cause a nuclear meltdown.

              Fake.

Does a photograph shows RAND Corporation's 1954 design for a home computer?

Here's an interview from the CBC archives about the world's first computer ENIAC. You will have to press play on the windows player. It won't start automatically
