    Lou Rawls passed away

Just saw it on www.cnn.com Breaking News. He's been suffering from lung cancer. Another good sounding deep voice singer passes away. Good deep voice singers are rare and he and Barry White were the best. R.I.P.

Lou Rawls was the man.... "You'll Never Find (Another Love Like Mine)" was the absolute jam, and an anthem for brothas who had chicks go astray on 'em.... He will be missed. I just heard about him being sick the other day on the Tom Joyner Show, and they were saying he was trying to get his marriage annulled.

Class of 97. Its crazy that Lou Rawls and Mr. T are the only celebs to ever come from that school. What was Mr. T's talent again?

wow I didn't realize he was sick.

While I didn't like everything Rawls put out (after all he was a rival to Marvin Gaye) he still made some very good jams. In fact I listened to a Lou Rawls song just yesterday.

P.S. seems all the great soul singers are dropping like flies these days.

Rawls had a silky-smooth, one-of-a-kind voice; plus, he always seemed like a genuinely nice person.

Yep he had a Telethon for a lot of years too. The Lou Rawls Parade of Stars.

BTW my fave song of his is a little known gem called "some folks never learn" from the 1977 Unmistably Lou album.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
