Authentic Jersey sizing questions

all these numbers confuse me...I'm 6'3" and skinny...I'm not looking for something really tight, but I don't want it to fit real baggy either. What size for a football jersey should I be looking at? What size for a basketball jersey should I be looking at?

I made a huge mistake with the Nash jersey I bought. Mine is a size 60 and I'm 5'11. If you don't want something skinny, It would be best to go with a 48.

It's your chest size (same as a suit coat).

if its a standard 48 for basketball, then it might be kinda short. i used a 52 for bball jerseys, or a 48 with added inches. im about your size.

football jerseys, i tried on a 44 and that fit well. i wouldnt go higher than 56

I'm 6'1" on the skinny side and I always get the smallest football jersey available...the 48 replica comes down to my elbow and fits perfect. An authentic jersey with the cuffed sleeve is even better, if not for the price.

EDIT: come to think of it, I remember the authentics to be slightly longer but more form fitting because of the short arms and stretchy sides.

It varies based on the jersey maker and the sport, but for the most part, 48 = L/XL, 52 = XL/2XL, 54 = 2XL, 56 = 3XL, 60 = way too damn big for a skinny person

I'm 6'2 225 and for my football jerseys I usually wear a 58 but it depends on the cut of the jersey. Like the cowboys white in a 58 the sleeve rest on my biceps high. But my Chargers one is a differnt style so it fit's differentlt. ANd for basketball you wanna go with a 56 those seem to look right no matter what team.
