Re: Concerts You Plan On Going To In 2006?
Saw Cinderella/Poison last night. I'm dating myself saying I remember listening to both these bands 20 years ago. Cinderella still owns the stage and Tom Keifer still has one of the best rock voices ever. The show started, and I was worried about his voice as it appeared he lost it and was singing lower than his normal high tones. Then it suddenly came back and for the next 40 minutes he tore it up. God, I forgot how much I freaking loved this band. Gypsy Road may still have the best guitar riff in history.
Poison was great as well, still a party band. But I swear to God, if I hear "Hit it CC" one more time, I may off myself. Poison got 90 minutes to Cinderella's 50, and Poison didn't seem to know how to use it. We had guitar solo after guitar solo, and then a 7 minute CC solo and CC song. Then a Rikki Rocket 5 minute drum solo. Brett Michaels must have been with a groupie the whole time because he wasn't on stage during all this.
All in all, great show, I hope Cinderella comes back though next year by themselves so they get a longer set. They always got lumped in with hair bands, and were anything but. They were a bluesy rock band. Oh well, great night, great show.Last edited by ExtremeGamer; 07-20-2006, 08:40 AM.Comment
