    Re: Inventions

That's what ON*Star does. If your airbag deploys or other substantial impact, ON*Star calls you and the police.

Also, they already have kids meds on a stick. They're called "Feel Better Bears" or something like that.

Inventions are tough because almost everything has been thought of. The easiest way to go is to invent a service or a way of doing work, not necessarily a product. My company holds patents on processes, not products.

I actually have a few things I would like to invent....but if I told yall, I would have to kill each one of you. It is tough to come up with something but with a little creativity, you can muster up something. It may not be something that'll fly, but its always a start. I keep thinking about ordering a patent kit but I've already heard that it cost up to a 1000 bucks to patent something. Money I dont have.

Someone actually brought On star up to me...i must be mistaken, i thought you had to hit the button for 911. And even if you can into an accident and the airbag goes...how are you supposed to talk to people while your unconcious?

And if anyone cares i won, best invention in my class. I was thinking so hard of things that were realistic....when they didnt have to be. Someone had a bean stalk that when you opened them food would fall out..ending world hunger

Maybe. Remember... this was in 3rd grade, which (for me) is 9 to 10 years ago.

I thought it up without having done research, so it may have been invented already. Not sure.

No, ON*Star is automatic. I actually sat in the "cube farm" right next to the ON*Star design team when I was at General Motors. I got to be a guinea pig on a lot of their early voice recognition tests. It's not even reached a tenth of it's potential and goals. It's a slick thing. But, people are still skeptical because they are afraid that ON*Star can listen to them without them knowing.

P.S. If the airbag deploys and there is no response from the driver, they will 911.
