    Nanotechnology

Out of all the emerging fronts of new technology, it's my opinion that nanotech will be most responsible for advances and changes to our quality of life over the next few decades. I did a presentation on nanotech within my company last year and learned some pretty amazing things about the scope of its potential impact - from medicine, to the clothing industry, to our environment, to the general improvement of many household devices and gadgets.

Here is but a sample of its awesome capabilities. This is brand new stuff....

For those interested, here's a short primer on how nanotechnology could be used in the future.

If anyone has read the Michael Crichton book "Prey," that was also about nanotech and the concept of "utility fog." We're closer to this technology than most people think we are and it truly is going to represent a new industrial revolution when we're able to mass-produce this kind of small-scale technology.

This is nothing new, they already have this technology. The x-men have access to it in X-men 2 age of Apocolypse, they call it Nanogear....Just joking of course, yeah, that is some amazing stuff.
