If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

The Sopranos starts in March. Does HBO usually premiere 2 shows at the same time?

They just started filming a few weeks back...most likely it will premiere this summer along with Deadwood. The Sopranos and a new show "Big Love" start in March.

              Well developed characters. Excellent acting.
Probably the most accurate dipiction of the drug game. The criminals are not stupid, in fact they are smarter than the cops.

I love 24, Lost, Alias, etc, but the Wire is my favorite show of them all. It's very authentic (from what I hear), features uniformly excellent acting across the board, and the story arc is very involved and intricate. It plays more like a very long movie instead of segmented TV shows and for that reason it's the only show I'll sit down and re-watch after I've watched a whole season.

Some people don't give the show a chance because it focuses more on character development, pacing, and fleshing out the storyline right from the start whereas a lot of other shows focus more on cheap, sensationalized thrills, but the Wire is great, great TV. Watch it at all costs!

Yep I love it. The character development makes you feel like you really know the people on the show. I still hate that String got knocked off.

Does anyone know how this season is going to be set up? With Stringer dead & Avon getting locked up the only thing I can see is Marlo becoming the main character.

                    Re: The Wire

The Wire is the best show on TV without a doubt.

it's awesome that the HBO agreed that it was a quality show and kept it on the air, despite pedestrian ratings.

I believe that it starts airing next fall, but i could be wrong. I got an email telling me fall.

Yeah it is one of the most realistic shows out there.

I was really surprised when Stringer was killed. I never thought that they would kill such a major character.

The major story arc is education. This season will also feature a battle between Marlo and Cutty.

Acouple of more notes I've heard. It seems that Dominic West(McNulty) is cutting back and may be only a bit player in season 4. also, I think season 5 in a couple of years will be the last and focus on political corruption with people like clayton davis.
