    The New World

    The New World

This movie is finally coming out, after being pushed back several times last Fall. I probably wouldn't be interested in the movie if I didn't see the trailer when I saw Batman Begins. Christian Bale should give a good performance and the shots should be beautiful. Not sure how Colin will do, he's kind of sketchy.

Ehh my fiance wants to see it. She loves Colin. Since Bale is in it. I didn't have to let her talk me into it too much. Looks all right in the previews.

Movie will be garbage. It's been finished for forever, and keeps getting delayed. I expect a bigger bomb than Alexander.

I think the same way about V is For Vendetta.

Yep, most likely it will be. It was delayed over the subway bombings though, not because it is pure crap.

I watched most of that the other night. What a boring movie. Half of it is just people sitting around arguing.

This is one of the most anticipated films of the year for myself. Seeing as how I am Native America, so I can't wait.

I bet a lot of audience members are going to leave this movie unhappy. Terrence Malick movies are always too..."poetic." I don't have a better word for it.

That's what I gather from reading the reviews. Malick has a different way of directing than most directors. Little to no narrative, so the story isn't as linear I guess, which probably isn't good for most movie-goers nowadays.

                      Bump.

Saw the movie tonight. Thought it was really good. Malick definitely has a distinctive directoring style, which without knowing beforehand, might have ruined the movie for me. I enjoyed it. The shots were beautiful.

Anyway, I'm curious. There was a trailer for a new Mel Gibson movie (directing) and I can't remember the name of it. It looks very...intriguing.

I've heard about it too and it even supposedly deals with Mayan culture as well.

Thats the one. The trailer was, not really weird, just different than anything I've ever seen before at the movies.

After watching that "the Thin Red Line" CRAP..I refuse to go see the New World.

I hate that director's "noveau art" approach...if I wanted to watch grass blow, or Birds fly around, I'd stay at home and watch the Discovery Channel.
