A little Brasso and a real soft cloth work better than almost any of the cleaning devices and scratch removal systems out there.

I go to this store called Replays, they have this machine that works perfectly. For like $2 they'll clean a disc and it looks brand new and works like its brand new. Perhaps Fishepa or Dagger could tell you what the machine is. Tuscaloosa only has 1 Replays. I think Birmingham has like 4.

Those machines work pretty well, but can be really expensive and are more for professional use than home consumer use. I see ads all the time in video related mags. It is basically the same idea behind something like the disc doctor, where you either crank the wheel, or use the motorized version, but obviously a much better, advanced version. It just roughs up the disc surface, removing some or a lot of the protective layers of the disc (which there are many) and then polishes it up.

Game Dr, which is the same as CD Dr and DVD Dr. They all work on the same things. Cost me 25 for the regular and 35 for the motorized. FIx the scratches and game/cd plays like new.

I have a Game Doctor. It will fix most problems, but it warns in its instructions that it doesn't get gouges, deep scratches, or in some instances circular scratches very well. However, for me it has done its job and it has fixed every disc I've used in it.

Disc Dr. is ok. I used to have the hand crank version.

Stay away from the Memorex motorized cleaner/repair machine. The repair function is as crappy as it gets.

They have Game Doctors without the handcrank? I must see this.

Honestly, I wanted to make a joke... but honestly... it doesn't need to be made.
