1TB Hard Drives?

I follow technology pretty closely but haven't seen any estimates of when we'll start seeing 1TB hard drives. Has anyone here read anything about them? I'm trying to wait to buy my next computer until they're out but am getting tired of waiting!!

2007 to 2008. Look for them to launch just before the high capacity HD-DVD/Blu-Ray discs are released.

Doing a quick 30 second search, Dell already offers computers with 1 TB advertised storage capacity. Whether it's one or multiple HDs, I don't know, but 1 TB capacity is out there.

last i check they had multiple drives, i haven't seen one drive with 1tb

that's not true some guys like having the dvds they buy on there computer and now with hd dvd's and stuff more space is definetly needed

I thought he meant a single 1TB drive. Hell, one could just add three 500GB drives to their PC and surpass it.

I'm looking for individual 1TB drives...and yes I do need that much space...in fact, I need 4 of them. I own a DJ business and am storing all my music in uncompressed format (WAV). That means roughly 1000 songs = 40GB. Considering I have almost 1000 CDs you can do the math. I figure I need 2TB for the original copies and 2TB for back-up. So, I'm waiting for 1TB drives to come out so I can get a new computer with 4 of them.
