    Want clearer text in Windows?

To enable system-wide sub-pixel font, do this. I've been tweaking computers for ages and did not know this. I LOVE IT!

XP: Start > Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Effects > Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts: ClearType

OS X: System Preferences > Appearance > Font smoothing style: Best for Flat Panel (or Automatic under 10.4 -- will use sub-pixel rendering if you have an LCD)

Wow, my crappy computer at work now looks like my brand new XPS400 at home.

This is pretty damn sweet! Thanks Steve.

I tried this a while ago and didn't like it. It actually looked worse on my flatscreen at work.

I asked one of my boys to try it a few minutes ago and he said the same thing. Strange.

wow, this is pretty nice. Like somebody said, will take some getting used to though. Gonna have to do this to my other computers that I use.

No thank you, I'll pass on my three PC's (my room, sons, & kitchen) they all have flat screen LCD's and it looks like I need glasses ( I have 20/15 vison BTW).

It just looks wrong, and I dont want to have to get used to it heh.
