Very few athletes are genuine and are really good people. They've been put on a pedestal all their lives and monsters were created out of them since high school. Guys such as Grant Hill and Steve Nash come to mind when I think of guys that are almost without a doubt good people. At the end of the day, give me Artest's craziness over Mickelson's fakeness, at least people say Artest is a good guy, just too dumb to defend himself in the media and dumb overall.

Answer the question. You know Mickelson is fake because.....? Do you have any actual first hand knowledge of this or are you just going by what some writer says (based on some second hand information from a conversation between a couple of players)? Do you know Phil personally? Have you ever even met him? Again, do you get along with every one of your co-workers (or if you're not out of school, every one of the kids in school)? If not, I'm sure there are at least a couple who would say you're a jerk. Does that mean you are? Based on your brand of logic, I guess so.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

"Mickelson has earned many nicknames on the Tour, but our favorite is FIGJAM (****, I’m good—just ask me). “There are a bunch of pros who think he and his whole smiley, happy face are a fraud,” another reporter says. “They think he’s preening and insincere.” Mickelson has aggressively pursued a family-man image that is crucial to his success as an endorser"
This is exactly what I've always perceived aoubt Phil. I mean it's not rocket science, just an unbased personal claim that happens to be shared by many golfers who see the same things I do.Comment

Originally posted by caseydLOL. You're just quoting the same thing that was posted on that stupid article. Do you have anything original you can add? Can you even list off the "many golfers" of which you speak (again, without going off some article based on some 2nd hand conversation)? One guy comes to my mind--Vijay. That's the only guy I've seen quoted as saying that Phil is "faking it." There are a couple others who have come out and said something along the same lines. Ok, so you have 3 golfers out of how many? Vijay hates Tiger too. What does that prove?
I don't like Kobe and Phil for the same reasons: they are not genuine in their actions. Difference is the media hates number 8 (8-HATE), whereas Phil is the media darling.
Ain't on list of golfers out there. This is golf, where being a good old boy is important for your image and to be liked. If this were rap music though, best believe Phil would be getting called out like Jay-Z.
