I have an iPod Mini and I've never had a problem with it while working out. I bought an iPod arm band where you place the iPod while running, it stays in place and it's perfect IMO.

I wish Nano or an iPod had a radio as well..I would love to listen to sportstalk while working out sometimes also.Comment

Originally posted by candyman56Dookie, you spent $250 on the nano correct? Why didn't you go with the Video IPOD for $50 more, 30G of space?
I like the small size and 1,000 songs is plenty for me..although I wasnet sure if I should get the iPod video or whatever its called. Im still not sure. I dont think I would download many videos or use that feature that much...mostly just for songs. Plus, since I want to use it while working out I thought the nano was the best choice...was I wrong?Comment

I just recently got the same thing you just bit on. 4gb Black iPod Nano. I had the same thoughts you did as well. I really only wanted it for the music capabilities and the size of it. I didn't need the video capabilites or the extra size of the unit that came along with it. You can take a nano anywhere and do almost anything with it, not to mention it will fit almost anywhere and there are a ton of cases and workout type armbands out there for it.
I just bought a leather case for it from www.orbino.com and will probably look into getting an armband type case for it sometime soon so I can take it with me to work out or run.
Check out www.ilounge.com, it's extremely full of old and new information about anything iPod.

Re: Cheap IPOD VS More Expensive IPOD
GBrushTWood or anyone else with a suggestion on a solid set of headphones for my nano im looking for suggestions.
I've been OK with the stock ones since I got it a few weeks ago but I do realize the sound quality could be alot better with a better set of headphones and im ready to make that purchase.
Suggest away!

So it's really a matter of how much music you have to store. If you have 1000 cd's, get the Video, if you have 100 cds or less get the Nano. You can't go wrong with either.Comment

But you're walking a tightrope if you work out aggressively with a hard drive-based player. People need to remember that a hard drive-based player is similar to a laptop computer, with a small hard drive inside. You wouldn't dare risk dropping or shaking the hell out of your laptop, would you?
That's the way I look at it.

But it is a gamble to run, especially at a good clip, with a hard drive-based player, which the iPod Video is.
And don't drop it while running ... !!!
