I don't know. It sounds like one of those riddles where over time it got repeated wrong. Thus, there is no answer that'll fit the way it is currently presented.
The poster above you supplied the same link.

But yeah, I'm going to have to agree... it seems that it's just supposed to be a nut-buster riddle.

My second assumption was syllables, then I didn't know how it would completely make sense. Then I read that thread, and I'm like, "Ooo, maybe I was right!" But the whole children part screws it up.

Well, before I go to bed, I'd like to nominate "answer" as the answer. Hilarious how ole boy chewed up the person who came up with it but it does sound logical too.......

Can you explain the "red at day and black at night" line for "answer", then?

Any guesses? It's obviously some sort of wordplay. I've thought of syllables, age, teeth... anything! I'm completely stumped. Any OSers up for the challenge?

Again, I'm still confused with the red and black part. Also, I don't think this would answer the 4th line either.

Like fistofrage, I was thinking birthdays, but the line saying "i have none, but you have several" doesn't work. I kind of understand the no answer idea, but that's just too frustrating. I can't spend too much time on this or I'll go insane.

I'm still going with no answer, it just doesn't make any sense.

I think someone just pulled this out their a** for no other reason than what we are doing here right now.

The answer has to be syllables.

Lol! That is definitely the answer. This riddle logically connects to nothing.
