Question about Napster free 7 day trial...

If you download this.... A. Are you allowed to download as many songs as you want? B. If you can, are you allowed to keep the songs after use. C. Can I take Napster songs and put them onto my iTunes?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm almost positive you can't keep the songs.

If you download a lot of songs every month, then the $15 a month plan is a good deal IMO. You don't keep them though, they're like rentals, but I'm not exactly sure how that works when they're on an mp3 player...

Whatever, I just pay .99 per song and they do offer "track packs" where you buy like 70 tracks for $50.

With the monthly rate plan, you can't transfer songs over to an MP3 player. You are restricted to listening to the songs only using Napster.

That's the $9.99 monthly rate plan.

            Ah.

Anyways, I believe the licensing on the tracks simply expires if you let your subscription lapse. While the files may still be stored on your MP3 player, you simply wouldn't be able to play them.

I pay $10 a month for Napster. I think it's a great deal, you can download as many songs as you want and listen to them on your computer and also transfer all of them to your MP3 Player as long as it is compatible (I have a Creative Zen Touch which is compatible). You can check Napster's website for which MP3 players are compatible (IPods are not). You however can not burn them to CD unless they are bought ($.99 a song).

If you keep paying the $10 monthly fee the songs keep working but once your subscription ends the songs stop working because they have a expiry date in their coding.

I thought the $10 a month was just for downloading unlimited # of songs to your computer and then $15 a month was the "fill and refill your mp3 player" deal?
