I would never ball in a pair of MJs or a authentic jersey. One scuff mark and thats it.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Jordan Defining Moments Package
Originally posted by forensicdIt cracks me up these things cost this much! They are made in china or somewhere for like 30 cents, then people pay up to 700 bucks for a pair of shoes! I dont get it. You could get a kick a** suit, tie, shoes, socks, etc for that, or a hdtv for that matter. Im curious why you, or anyone, may pay so much for a pair of shoes? I could see if they REALLY made you a better baller, but there are many better shoes for hooping in. Can someone explain this to me, as I am lost.
i agree with you, i like shoes, but would never spend more than a jordan on a shoe. but hey, the people that do buy them its a hobby or they are collectors. just like a baseball card, why would you pay a couple thousand for a peice of cardboard? i guess its what people would put value to it.Comment

Re: Jordan Defining Moments Package
I read a report a week ago or so that said that only about 38% of the people that buy basketball shoes use them for balling. The early Jordans were horrible to play in. I ripped up my ankle in the 1's and 3's many times(way back in the day), and the cushioning were garbage too. I stopped buying them because there were so many better game shoes out there.
They've gotten better the last 10 years or so as far as functionallity goes, but I've become paranoid about wearing them. I would imagine that most people buy them as a fashion statement anyway.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

The XXI's are dope especially the blk/red lows.
Since when do we wear hooping shoes to look good in? I love Jordans but they are for basketball, not for styling.
Even though I did get me some Iverson 9's for basketball saturday.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Wow.
So its safe to say that most of you guys dont own more than 10 pairs of athletic shoes.
$120 aint jack....Folks are going out to pay $100+ for Timbs, why? If you are a collector then scuff marks mean something but if you aint a collector, why worry about a scuff mark?
I would rather have the Benz (Jordans) of basketball shoes on my feet than the Kia (Shaqs) of basketball shoes.Comment

I'm over that phase of collecting expensive sneakers. I'd never hoop in them and wore them more as a fashoin statment than anything. If I pay 120 for something, I'm gonna take good care of it and playing basketball in them is not taking care of them. As for 120 bucks being "jack", hows about you loan that to me, I'm pretty broke right now. There are many more usefull things you can use 120 bucks for. Shoes aint one of them.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

I dont understand why would you pay $100+ to just walk around in them. Basketball shoes are for basketball, use them.
Otherwise, youre just stuntin.
I guess its just me. When I was in HS, Ma only bought one pair of shoes for the whole year, every year (9th-12th grade). No boots, just one pair of shoes. Living in Chicago, those shoes doubled as boots.
Now, I got damn near 80+ pairs. Been reselling some for double the price, so it works out.Comment

There is no limit when it comes to me and my happiness. If I want the Caddy, Im gettin the Caddy. Of course, if you pay $120+ on any shoe you need to take care of it but use it for its purpose.
But folks go out and pay $120 for 2 Xbox 360 games...Then says "I dont like this game" only to let it sit on the shelf, resell it or trade it in for less. How much sense does that make?
I guess it comes down to who wastes more money on what. Beats buying kitty...cuz thats def a waste.Comment

Good point, thats why I like to consider myself as a smart shopper, especially when it comes to games. Fable changed all of that for me.
As for the shoes, do you buy them to hoop in or do you buy them because its a hot fashion trend? If you buy Jordans to hoop in, I'd have no choice but to call you a fool. I can find a nice pair of 50 dollar shoes if I wanted to play ball in them that would feel no diffrent than wearing Jordans. 120 dollars? I'm keeping them forever.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment
