I dont understand why would you pay $100+ to just walk around in them. Basketball shoes are for basketball, use them.
Otherwise, youre just stuntin.
I guess its just me. When I was in HS, Ma only bought one pair of shoes for the whole year, every year (9th-12th grade). No boots, just one pair of shoes. Living in Chicago, those shoes doubled as boots.
Now, I got damn near 80+ pairs. Been reselling some for double the price, so it works out.
80 pairs of shoes??? Damn, now you competing with my moms. Thats a ladies game IMO. I grew up the same way but once I got older and had the money, I understood that as long as I got a clean pair on my feet, I'm satisfied. I'm like that with just about everything fashion wise. I stopped buying Jerseys and instead I use the money to actually go to a game. I stopped buying expensive cloths cause cloths dont make the man, ya know? Well, enough about my poor ways, nobody ever taught me the value of a dollar so I had to learn on my own.
As for that qoute you made about buying basketball shoes to walk around in is stuntin? From my understanding, boots where for snow but I see plenty of ppl wearing them in the summer. Is that stuntin also?http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

As for the shoes, do you buy them to hoop in or do you buy them because its a hot fashion trend? If you buy Jordans to hoop in, I'd have no choice but to call you a fool. I can find a nice pair of 50 dollar shoes if I wanted to play ball in them that would feel no diffrent than wearing Jordans. 120 dollars? I'm keeping them forever.
I dont think you know what you are talking about. Thats like saying a car is car but I would rather have the Caddy over the Yugo anyday, the ride is way different. As with shoes, the ride is different.
A fool is the one using Jordans for outdoor ballin. NEVER!!! Shoes made for that...Nike Air Raid.
But if you cant hoop, then thats a different story.

how are you going to compare a car to shoes? the most expensive kicks arent always the most comfortable . just like the most expensive cars arent always the most reliable.Last edited by kuruption; 01-30-2006, 05:14 PM.And with the third pick - I made the earth sick

Shoes and cars a much, much diffrent from eachother. Apple to oranges IMO. I'm not talking about buying some payless kicks, but there are plenty of cheaper shoes out there that serve the same purpose as buying Jordans. You're paying extra for a name and as for a car, paying extra for a name gets you better performance and more/better features. I dont remember Jordans offering anything extra than what my 50 dollar pair of Reebok's offer. I've had Jordans before, like I said, I'm out of that phase. From what I can remember, they were'nt the most confortable kicks I ever slipped on.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Car and shoes both give you a ride, am I right?

Well thats just personal preference, you already said you had flat feet so you are an exception. Just like a obese person couldnt fit in a car, they are the exception. Plus I dont think we were discussing comfort.

I really like AND 1's myself. I find their out of the box comfort to be better than any other brand by far. They have a new style out called the Mystique Mid that kind of remind me of the Nike Jet Flight(IMO one of the top 3 shoes ever)
Of course in a couple weeks the Zoom Kobe 1 drops. I'm not that fond of the style, but I get the feeling that they're going to be a great performance shoe.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Re: Jordan Defining Moments Package
I wanted to try the 2K5s but I got some I9's instead. Good traction, once the pump inflates you get a good lockdown feel and not too heavy.
AJ XX's are the #2 shoe for me...great traction, not too tight, not too heavy, great cushion and so so ankle support.
Nike Jet Flight is a PG's dream.
I got 3 pairs of those, one still deadstock so I can pull them out and drop dimes on fools.
As far as And1 goes, I have balled in the Sprees, KG I and KG II's, Drive and Truth.
The Truth's are the best ones to me.Comment

Re: Jordan Defining Moments Package
Gil, I cant knock you because you seem to know your shoes. Not like many who only buy Jordans or Air Max because its the popular thing to do. As for how often I hoop, I dont do it as much as I did probably 2 years ago, but I would defitnitely call myself a baller because thats I did in my old neirborhood. Cold, darkness, did'nt matter, as long as there is some light we were straight. Current health problems prohibits me from balling like I did back in the day. To many cigs.
Did'nt matter what shoes I wore, as long as my feet did'nt feel like rubber after a day of ballin. I never got into the appeal of expensive shoes. My J was flame rockin reeboks, Nikes or And-1s.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Jordan Defining Moments Package
where are ya'll buying your shoes for balling in?
retail, almost every "decent" pair retails for atleast 80 bucks and go as high as 150 (not including jordans who retail for 175). if you can ball in those, you can play ball in the "retro" jordans. no difference there.
as for me, I usually buy them 2-3 years after they were released for 50% off retail on ebay.Comment

Re: Jordan Defining Moments Package
Good lord. I knew a guy who had over 200 pairs of shoes. He had stacks of boxes all over his room.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
