    power supply question

i dunno if any of u are computer savy, but my computer lately for the past couple of weeks has been making like a clicking noise. its definitely not a hard drive problem, i know that for sure. but im just wondering how u can tell if the power supply is about to die.

    im running
    2 optical drives
    3 hard drives
    and like 4 fans

    my psu is 420w

usually clicking is a cause of a heatsink fan supply. i would open the tower and make some wires are hitting the fan?

Take the side off the computer and then look inside when you hear the clicking, it probably is the cpu fan. If it restarts, it is probably because it is too hot. You could download a program to monitor your computers temp., fan speed, volts, etc. That would tell you if the fan is running or if the voltage is dropping.

can u recommend a program for me? also, my 3rd hard drive disappears from my computer. i'd have to restart it so it'd be detected again. im suspicious it has something to do with my power supply. but i'll see how hot my cpu is.
