Ugh what is it with the TV stations? Keep it at the timeslot where nothing good is on and you get viewers. No, instead, let's move it to the same timeslot as the most-watched show on TV and the OC. They're geniuses.

It's mentioned on this link:
"...ABC today announced it would move Grey's to Thursday nights beginning next season."
I also read another article that said it would be opposite CSI. I've never understood why execs want to put a show like this (up and coming show) against a huge show like CSI. It doesn't seem like a good idea to me.Comment

Grey's Anatomy has just about run it's course with me with all the love triangles and I'm also a bit sick of the whiny Meredith character. She needs a good punch in the face IMO.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

I gotta disagree my man. The OC was without a doubt one of the better written shows in its first season its ratings and critical acclaim has fallen off in the last two years. I even read that there was a possibility of it not coming back next year but that appears to not be the case, pending Fox's announcement this week.
I was a fan of the OC in its first season, but the lack of direction for the characters, the cannon fodder extra characters who come and go (Oliver, the gay chick, Zach, Lindsay, Johnny) and the fact that the core group of the show really are nothing like they were in the beggining has pretty much sent it on a downward spiral. Thursdays is such a huge night for TV I have no doubt that CSI will keeps its 25 mil viewers and Greys will get there 18-19 million too. This year alone Thursdays had Dancing with the Stars and Smallville pull some of there highest numbers while going up against Survivor.
EDIT- and no character on television needs a punch in the face more that Micha Barton's Marissa CooperFavorite Teams:

here's a good thing I got from the Variety article about LOST...
Wherever "Lost" ends up, insiders indicate the network plans to answer fans' prayers by radically revamping the show's air pattern. Skein is expected to air in two big chunks of originals -- one in the fall and one in the spring. ABC then could launch a new show in the "Lost" timeslot come January.http://flotn.blogspot.com

OC will be close to Grey's Anatomy in terms of viewership IMO.
What's going to be interesting is to see how many Grey's Anatomy viewers were also CSI viewers. In other words, how many CSI viewers won't watch Grey's Anatomy because they've been watching CSI at that time for years. Lots of Tivo for Grey's.Comment

You guys do know that the O.C. doesn't even pull in half of the audience of Grey's Anatomy and their demographics are totally different. I guarantee that just based off of women's viewerhip Grey's anatomy will still get their 17-19 million viewers next year. This season at 8 oclock on thursday nights Survivor and Dancing with the Stars each averaged over 18 million viewers. That's pretty much how they're gonna shake out in the nine oclock timeslot.Favorite Teams:

But truth be told I'm not a hardcore O.C. guy by any means. I'm just saying between the two shows I like the O.C. a bit better, mostly cuz of Seth as I find him pretty funny. I'm not going to go bouncing around my Tivo because Greys producers make a boneheaded move that may end up killing a pretty good show.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: ***Official*** Grey's Anatomy ***Thread*****
If Grey's can own a monday night with than I am sure that they will be fine on Thursday. I know 24, Deal or no Deal and CBS's lineup are no CSI but they are all have much bigger followings than the OC. OC's demographic are teenage to early 20 girls and guys as the majority. Grey's is more 20's-40's women and men majority. I have never seen an episode of CSI because I hate procedurals but I know that they own the huge Procedural crowd, while the OC has owned the teens-early adults, and NBC owned the comedy fans, WB/UPN had whatever was left. CSI will still own procedurals, NBC has moved their comedys up so that new fake SNL show is a goner in that slot and I guarantee that the OC, if on the bubble this past year, will not be back after next year.Favorite Teams:
