I have it. There's a lot you can do with what they give you, but once you run out of ways to use each instrument, it's time to make some samples.

You could download it, but it's easy to get frustrated because there are so many buttons and knobs and things you could push and turn.

Just mess around with it. Make a few tests and samples.

I would suggest you try to get more music and instrument samples, as the ones in FL are not that great.

Well, it is tough to do.

If you have a program like Cool Edit, you can take a simple sound, cut it and paste and save it as a WAV or for the newer editions of FL Studio, as an MP3. Of course you'll be needing some sound file to work with. My brother usually gets his other sounds by having a note from an instrument from Reason play, takes it to Cool Edit to get it converted and puts it in the FL Studio sample database. I'll go over it myself to make sure I'm right and as soon as I get it I'll explain more.

It's too damn expensive when you end up getting all the kits and whatnot. I messed around with it a few years ago (DL'd a crack w. a buncha kits from somewhere) and it was confusing as all hell so I deleted it.
