Rhymefest also came up w. the sample. Kanye should give him 75% of the royalties off that damn song."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Paul McCartney - Helter Skelter
I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!
The quality of the video is piss-poor, but thats the only one up so far.
Edit: Jay-Z, Linkin Park & Paul McCartney
That quality is pretty good.Last edited by Fresh Tendrils; 02-10-2006, 12:21 AM.

Re: Grammys
If you read the article TIME magazine wrote on Kanye august last year, it explains the whole "Jesus Walks" song and what part rhymefest had to play in it. He wrote part of the first verse (which was written years ago, Kanye added the 2nd verse after he got signed) and helped him out on the song. According to the article, he still receives royalties. Rhymefest was/is one of kanye's closest friends and they still work together to this day. They have a song out together now called "Brand New". Kanye gave that beat to Rhymefest, he even stated it in the song.
"Me and 'Ye go back like crew cuts
He hook me up - as long as I don't ask him for too much
But even he know 'Fest is layin' it down
Cause this is just an old beat he had layin' around!"
One thing some of you have to realize about the music business, is that it is what it is, "a business". Just like someone said earlier, $10,000 for an "A" list producer beat is damn good. I remember reading in a magazine that if you want a scott storch beat, you got to come up out your pocket thousands and thousands of $$$$$$.
As for the sly performance, it was reported on the radio this morning that he had stage fright and was vomiting backstage as soon as he walked off. Not sure how true that is though.Last edited by guysmiley1463; 02-10-2006, 10:42 AM.Comment

Re: Grammys
I loved the way Mariah Carey looked in the Grammy Awards show the other night. But when did she start making music that now sounds a lot like Jill Scott and Amel Larrieux (Infinite Possibilities album)? That's such a dramatic change in style for her. Just weird for me to notice that.
