Re: Cingular users (best phone?)
What additional features do these $100-$200 phones offer over a basic phone? You can get camera phones for free with contracts now, video phones aren't much more expensive. What is so good about these high end phones to justify all the extra cash?
Just wondering, I have my free with contract Cingular phone and it does everything I could ever want a phone to do - call people, text people and play games.Comment

Will someone please tell me why these companies charge $200-$400 for a phone, and they don't come with decent ringtones. Just a simple ring would be fine.Comment

Re: Cingular users (best phone?)
I would go with a Motorola or LG. Those are the two best brands IMO and the phones they make are very high quality.

Re: Cingular users (best phone?)
I used to work for Cingular... the best phones dollar for dollar that they offer are the Sony Ericsson. Ericsson got a bad name during the TDMA days but since Sony purchased them and going to GSM, they definitely have improved tremendously. If you want a high end phone, my recommendation...
Sony Ericsson W600i - 149.99 after MIR
Includes MP3 player (walkman technology), 1.3 megapixel camera, EDGE technology (allows broadband access to cell phone), 256 MB included storage plus ability to add on smart cards, and all the general goodies you would want in a phone. It also comes with PC Data Connectivity standard.
P.S. It comes with two different replaceable shells... the orange shown and a blue one.Last edited by gschwendt; 02-28-2006, 11:32 AM.Comment
