        I thought it was a terrific movie - however, I enjoy the theatrical released version better than the Director's Cut. I prefer to have some 'filling in the blanks' - I would say it's a cult classic, but not a classic in the sense that Casablanca is a classic. I think it's a great coming of age story - it's really a movie where it speaks differently to everyone. There are so many conclusions one can come up with this movie.

        Someone earlier mentioned Requiem for a Dream - also a cult classic. Too graphic for mass consumption by America. However, it's a great movie to show your kids about the effects of drugs.

          Patrick Swayze doesn't get enough credit for his role in this movie... I thought he was fantastic.
