Defender beta 2 and IE 7 beta 2

FYI, both looking very good. IE 7 is right up there with firefox (can't believe I just said that).

I'm messing around with the new IE right now. If you have been using Firefox, you are gonna see a lot of familar stuff. IE 7 will be nice on those sites that need IE rather than Firefox.

      Are there intergrated popup blockers?

I'm using opera, which i find to be better than mozilla and IE, so I'm not inclined to change at this moment.

XPSP2 has the popup blocker, and for the record, sp2 kicks *** for wireless users.

I've been messing with IE7 at work for a while now. I like it, but I doubt I'll switch from Firefox.

Of course, we still need to find out what type of security IE7 has. Microsoft said they focused more on security this version, but ya never know with MS.

Exactly. That's the biggest issue with IE. I'd sacrifice not being able to see some sites with Mozilla or Opera, just as long as I don't get those pesky viruses and trojan worms.

I played around with IE 7 for awhile and then promptly restored my PC back to before I installed it. I hate it.

You don't need to clog your system with IE 7 to see sites in Firefox that look better in IE. Just use the IE Tab extension for Firefox. It opens pages in the IE shell right within Firefox. No need to launch IE separately.

yeah, I've been using that extension, but every now and then I have a problem with that extension when the IE site involves a pop up that you want, for instance a video or something. You can allow popups for all IE tab windows, but I don't want that, just specific IE tab sites. But I do think the IE tab extension is nice, I like it better than the IE View one.

LOL. I, too, played around with it, and restored back to before I installed it. It's an improvement over IE, but it doesn't come anywhere close to the quality of Firefox and Opera.
