    Wireless mouse & keyboard

If you have one what brand do you have and how do you like it? How long do the batteries last (most specifically with the keyboard)? Do you have to turn it on & off or will it automatically sleep with inactivity?

    Re: Wireless mouse & keyboard

I have a Microsoft combo. I have to change the mouse batteries about once every couple months, but in the two-plus years I've had them have yet to change the keyboard's batteries.

I have a had a Logitech combo since September and I've had to change the batteries in the mouse twice and have yet to change the ones in the keyboard. It works very well.

I got my brother this one off ebay (came with the dongle) for $42 shipped. http://cgi.ebay.com/MICROSOFT-OPTICA...QQcmdZViewItem

He's had it since late December and hasn't changed any of the batteries. He love's it and hasn't had any problems.

I used a Logitech keyboard and mouse for about a year, but I recently switched back to a corded mouse. I was changing the batteries in the mouse about every three weeks. I still use the keyboard, though.

I have a logitech MX 5000 wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse is rechargeable and has a stand that you put the mouse in when you're done so that you can recharge the batteries. I'm not sure about the battery life in the keyboard but I've had it for a few months and I haven't had to change the batteries yet. It cost around $150.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I have a logitech combo as well (not sure which one exactly). I've had it for a few years and I've only changed the keyboard batteries once though I have to change the mouse battery every few months. I don't have to turn anything off on mine and it is a lot more convenient than a regular mouse and keyboard.

Same thing I have. It's nice to be able to recharge the mouse when done.

Logitech mouse here as well. Works great. I've had it since about August I believe, and only changed the batteries twice.
