I found out about his in my first class today and I just can't believe this happened, i hear they were sliding down the hallway and hit eachother sending them both out the window. One hit a rail and died the other is in critical condition at the UNC hospitial. This is so sad

thats so sad.. i remember freshman year at my dorms... some crazy stuff went down.. real sad that the consequences had to be the most severe in their case.. in my case it was warnings and written tickets.

i wouldnt exactly call it freak though... running or sliding is a no no especially when they play rough.. some need to realize not all windows are strong. most schools use single pane cheap crap. plus alot of dorms are old. so thats a bad combo right there.

time for the school to take action and install double pane windows... or the windows that commerical buildings and restraunts use.

Funny cause it's true. Unless there was a foul play, I don't see how you can't point and laugh at their stupidity. Apparently, they weren't even drinking or on drugs. Yeah, how about not plunging to your doom by running down the hall and falling out the window?

We are a society that wants to reason with and reward stupidity, rather then laugh at it. That's the sad part.

so the school has to spend a crapload of money because two people were idiots? This whole situation sucks, and I hate that it happened, but you can't expect society to totally protect people from being stupid.

I saw this on the local news...that was crazy...but I'm sure there is more to it than "sliding down the hallway" I'd bet it was a fight or horesplay or something.

ok, i got the whole story, they were racing down the hallway and the one who died turned the corner and stopped when he saw the window, the other crashed into him, knocking both out the window
