William Shatner was in that right? I can't think of the name, but that was a great episode. The Simpsons did a similar Halloween episode where Bart was riding the school bus to school and was seeing a gremlin on the outside of the bus tearing it apart.Originally posted by dieselboyWhats the one with "Theres something on the wing?!"
And you know what I never got from that episode (The Twilight Zone). They hauled Shatner off on a stretcher with a straight-jacket, etc, but at the end they see that the wing of the plane was messed with, so why not let him go?

In "King 9 Will Not Return"... this fighter plane pilot wakes up outside his plane crashed in the desert... and he looks for his crew, wondering where they could be. He sees them sometimes throughout the episode but they are only mirages. At one point he sees jets fly overhead, and he wonders how he knows what jets are when he is back in 1942 in the World War.Originally posted by koolbubbaiceYeah.. & stories make you think & have a meaning behind them..It's not preachy either. He then wakes up in a hospital, and a doctor tells him he hallucinated and passed out after reading a newspaper from today's year 1959, about how they finally found that plane he was SUPPOSED to pilot, but couldn't because he was sick. 17 years ago in 1942 it crashed, and that has been on his conscious for years.
He even tells the doctor that he swears that his dream was incredibly real, as though he was there. The doctor passes it off has a strong illusion, and asks the nurse to get his patient his clothes and shoes. When she goes to pick them up, she drops the shoe by mistake, and SAND pours out of them.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: Anyone have the Twilight Zone: The definate edition season 1-5?
What exactly is the Twilight Zone about? I've only seen one episode before but I've always heard of it.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

"The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street"
After what is believed to be a meteor flies overhead, Maple Street experiences a total power failure. Pete Van Horn leaves to find what is going on. Tommy, a reader of sci-fi, says human- looking aliens have infiltrated Maple Street. No one takes this seriously until Mr. Goodman's car cranks for a few seconds. Suspicion falls on him, made stronger by a neighbor's memory of seeing him looking up at the stars at night. Everyone begins to panic as the evening approaches. When a mysterious figure walks towards them in the dark, Charlie Farnsworth takes a neighbor's rifle and fires. The mysterious figure turns out to be the returning Pete Van Horn. Charlie is then accused of being the alien, then Tommy, then total madness breaks out. As various house lights flash on and off, rioting breaks out. Two nearby aliens watch these events. One tells the other that by manipulating electricity, it is easy to turn neighbor against neighbor. Maple Street is only the beginning.
This is one of my absolute favorites!Comment

Re: Anyone have the Twilight Zone: The definate edition season 1-5?
It's like moral messages and lessons tied into intriguing plotlines. Many of the 156 episodes are top-notch... and a majority of the episodes are written by Rod Serling (wrote screenplay for PLANET of the APES). He also has some other good writers on board... and unlike other shows which revolve around same characters and actors, etc... this show is like a mini movie everytime, because all of the are different and not linked to eachother, as are the actors and actresses. Robert Redford made an appearance on TZ early in his career. Buster Keaton, Julie Newmar, Dick York, and Elizabeth Montgomery are a few others as well.Originally posted by jmood88What exactly is the Twilight Zone about?
