MS Outlook - multiple accounts
I'm looking for a way to make Outlook prompt me for which account to send a message from before it goes out. I know there is the accounts button but I forget to click on it sometimes which leads to personal email sent out from a business account and vice versa.

Re: MS Outlook - multiple accounts
If you have Outlook 2003 just click on "Accouts" w. the down arrow, right next to the send button. There is no way to prompt, since that'd be redundant I guess.
EDIT: You can try building a rule, which I've done in the past for incoming mail. For example, 8 of my buddies from HS regularly send me e-mail each day. I created a rule where any e-mail coming in from those 8 address gets placed in my "Personal" folder and not in my business inbox.
I'd imagine you can do the same for outgoing messages, but that'd only be convient if you send personal messages to the same people on a regular basis.Last edited by ehh; 03-03-2006, 02:46 PM."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: MS Outlook - multiple accounts
Thanks but I'm about 99% sure rules are only for organizing and for incoming mail.
I know there is the accounts button but I'm at work all day and just send e-mail after e-mail (usually over 100 per day). Then I come home and I have my home business e-mail and my personal e-mail. I'm so used to just sending I forget to choose which account when at home. So I'm looking for something to ask me which account I want to use before each e-mail I send.Comment

I know what you mean, but I'm lucky because I work for my father so I can send/receive any type of e-mail to and from my work address, even porn and stupid links and stuff like that.

Re: MS Outlook - multiple accounts
There's no way to have it prompt you about what account to send from, just which profile to use. So, you could create multiple profiles.be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.Comment
