Re: Entertainment Weekly's 10 Best Movie Sequels
I think a major factor in selecting these movies was that they improved on the original. This would probably be enough to be called a "best movie sequel" since it bucks the trend of crappy sequels. Clearly, all of the movies selected are at least as good as the previous movie. Most are far better.
I don't think Back to the Future 2 was better than the first one.Comment

From taking another look at that list, I think I'd agree with that assessment Defel. I liked Before Sunrise and The Terminator better than their sequels, I would agree that I like all those other sequels better than the original.Originally posted by DefelI think a major factor in selecting these movies was that they improved on the original. 2 of my fave movies. very underappreciated movies, but have big cult followings. i hope they make a 3rd one...like 9 years laterOriginally posted by aukevinI think Before Sunrise and Before Sunset are great movies. The conversations between Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy are great in both movies. The second movie happens pretty much in real time, which is cool as well. The both drama love stories, so they aren't going to be everybodies idea of a good movie.Comment

Re: Entertainment Weekly's 10 Best Movie Sequels
I figured, Before Midnight. I remember watching the special features on the Before Sunset DVD and they talked about how when they started the project with Before Sunrise, how they would love to make more movies about the two characters with them meeting at different times in their lives. I thought Before Sunset ended very well, I'm not sure if I would want them to go any further. But I am glad they did make Before Sunset and I'm glad they waited as long as they did before it was made, it worked out very well.

Re: Entertainment Weekly's 10 Best Movie Sequels
I think the list is pretty good too. Aliens deserves to be on there but I'm not sure as high as #4. That's why they make the lists though...to be debated! The only one of the Alien movies I got to see in the theatre was III and thought that was awesome. I think Aliens is the one I've seen the least amount of times. Not by choice though. Maybe that's why I feel the way I do.Originally posted by JisticAliens kicked all form of ***!
