    RIP Gordon Parks

He directed The Learning Tree and the original Shaft.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

It's a shame he never got the credit he deserved.

          Re: RIP Gordon Parks

Gordon Parks did a lot more than direct "Shaft". He was the most influential black photographer ever, and also one of the most influential photographers of our time, period. Plus, he was a talented writer and musician too.

          A very sad day.
