Edan - Beauty and The Beat

Came out in 2005. I just listened to this album for the first time and I love it. I heard a verse of his on Count Bass D's CD "Dwight Spitz" and I knew I would like it.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

 Re: fans of underground rap?

was wondering the same thing today, but it helps to have albums like this come out in the mean time...

Kaze's "Block 2the Basement" is long, but almost every minute of it is dope. He shows his versatility with his hardcore approach on some songs, while transforming into his softer side on instant classics such as "Immaculate" or "So Real" which features one of my fave artists Wordsworth. Royce Da 5'9" also appears on the album, as well as his fellow North-Cack rapper, Supastition. I liked his debut album "Spirit of '94" and the 9.0 version with 9th Wonder, but this album trumps that effort easily. I still can't believe this original battle-rapper doesn't have his name in lights (in the underground of course) yet. He's too talented to not be more hyped up.Do yourself a favor and get this album. Comes out May 20th (*cough cough* it leaked too *cough*). Album of the Year Candidate. Kaze is apart of the Rawkus 50... they have been putting out near-classics since their emergence. More than that... he's from North Carolina. Best scene in hip-hop history! (just my opinion). (just my opinion).

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
