    Re: fans of underground rap?

Welp, I know he doesn't appeal to everyone, but I totally missed that Aesop Rock released a new album alongside Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz under the guise "Hail Mary Mallon". As an Aesop guy, I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about it, but the album does seem to grow on me with the more I listen to it.

Initially, I thought the beats may have been overwhelming the vocals. But again, with more listens, things begin to even out. I actually sometimes can't tell a big difference between Rob and Aesop. It's a "Felt-like" group project but it feels pretty Aesey.

I like Aesop but I hated that album.

          Re: fans of underground rap?

I finally got around to listening to the Blue Scholars new album, "Cinemetropolis" after listening to Tech N9ne's latest the past few weeks. And I'm really liking it. It's a little different from their older stuff, but the experimentation that Sabzi is putting to use on the beats is working.

And the best thing about the album, just one collabo (Macklemore on "Tommy Chong", which was great by the way) and no skits. Why can't more albums be like that?

Here are a few of my favs so far on the album:

Anybody listen to Skyzoo? He's one of the best writers I've ever heard. His metaphors are so complex, he's worth the listen.

Listening to the snippets off The Sender and it sounds like it's going to be a good one. I wonder if it will leak? I think its just being release digitally at the moment, so probably not, right?
