Well you seem to be going all over the place....

Fame in most cases = Money and Money = Privilages. So yes rappers who have a high level of fame do get some special consideration. You strip the money and fame away and some of these fools would be under the jail. As far as Biggie and Tupacs murder not being solved thats a whole another issue.

I honestly could give a damn about C-Murder but where does it say that he intimidated witnesses? The article says he tried to smuggle a phone into jail. The DA argued that he did that to intimidate witnesses but that was never proven nor did the DA have an evidence to show that. The DA did his job by trying to use that as proof of his guilt but that doesnt mean that actually happened.

Also to compare this situation to OJ is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. This guy isnt even comparably famous to OJ. Most people on this board and alot of rap fans dont know who the hell he is. If they do they know him as Master P's loser brother.

Anyway, fame had nothing to do with this. The DA screwed up and withheld evidence and the Appeals Court did the right thing by ordering a new trial. Its that simple. You put anyone else in this situation and the case would have been overturned too.

Thank you, this has been one of the better responces to what I've been tring to say. I also agree the O.J example was a wasted thought. I even added in my original post that he was Master P's younger brother because I figured people would be like who the he!! is C-Murder anyway. Like you said aholbert this case is not a fame case and the folks that keep saying that need to lay off it. All in all I'm not tring to argue or defend C-Murder because honestly I don't like the cat anyway, but when people start talking out their a$$e$ and bring up fame or O.J then I start getting upset.

Nobody said he was a nice guy. Nobody even said that he didnt shoot the guy. What I'm saying is that the conviction was overturned for good cause and if the DA actually has solid evidence against him he will try it again.

With all your information you have on him I would think you were his parole officer

Exactly. It's pretty funny that people try to automatically assume guilt whenever a "high profile" person gets in trouble. The fact that the DA had to resort to hiding evidence and bribing witnesses should tell you that they barely had a case, if they had one at all. And if they really had all those witnesses who saw the shooting, why would the DA have to bribe any or cover up evidence?

I don't know about you but it would be tough for me to send a person to jail for life,if I found out the DA witheld evidence and bribed witnesses, but hey he's a rapper so he must be guilty, right?

Maybe if you are Eminem or some famous mainstream rapper you can use the fame card, but even then why have Tupac and Biggies killer still not been caught?? Nobody cares. So you think someone like C-Murder will get off cause of fame? Fuc* no. Take off your "blinders" and step out the closet and enter the real world.
He was famous in his area..Hell, we have some famous ppl in San jose, CA that wouldn't get a notice in NY..He's also famous cause of his brother Master P, & money, money, money..

That response is just sad. Simple thinking like this is why the justice system is in the shape its in. Ignore the fact that evidence was hidden and tainted. I guess because he's a gangsta rapper, somewhat famous and has a previous charge (which he wasnt convicted of) he must be guilty.

I really don't understand that attitude. They are willing to give a free pass to the DA who had to resort to hiding evidence, helping out a criminal, and lying but they automatically assume that the guy is guilty because of a stage name.

or it could be because he has another pending murder charge for trying to shoot two people.
