its because so many people have all this crap on their page. The videos, the songs, the ungodly amount of pics on their profile page. Its ridiculous. Myspace needs to put a stop to the videos. All they do is bog down the server.

Exactly. I try and keep mine as nice and tidy as possible. Ugh, I'm so frustrated with how many people crap up their pages. Guess what? I use it as an internet profile, and not much else. I will hardly send friend requests... and if there's somebody that I know (that sends me a request), I'll accept it. I don't visit it for much else other than updating my own stuff anyway... unless I need to talk to somebody.

MySpace could be much less of a joke. Don't blame Tom for this one, though. It's the damn patches the third party guys send out.

From what I know the videos aren't hosted by Myspace...most people are inserting HTML code that points to a source other than Myspace hosting the videos.

I agree it's slow...but when you're one of the most popular websites on the internet (if not the most popular) it's going to be tough to keep up with traffic. Most websites getting the traffic Myspace gets has been around for years and has built up their servers. Myspace hasn't been around long enough. However, since Rupert Murdoch did buy them and does have money to spend I'm sure they're working fast to get faster access so people don't go elsewhere.

Same here. I've run into more kids who have MCR, Hawthorne Heights, etc plastered all over their pages than any rap songs.

Yeah me too. The only problem I have with myspace slowing down is when people have multiple videos plus all this code and crap. If they just have a song and a video I have no problem loading the page.
