Very sad news . . . Peter Tomarken dead at age 63

    http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/03/13/pla....ap/index.html

He was piloting a plane flying with his wife and crashed. They both died.

Really sad. Press Your Luck was my favorite game show - I remember how I used to watch it every day.

When Gameshow Network first started (I think it was 1995), it was before the world wide web had become so widespread, and Peter Tomarken hosted a call in show called "Decades" where 2 people phoned in and answered questions about which decade an event occurred in using the pushbuttons on the phone.

I was very lucky to have called in and won a radio and cordless phone - but I also got a chance to talk to Peter live - I recorded my spot on TV so I can rewatch it. He was very nice, and a class act. We will all miss him.

Saw this on the news this morning - didn't hear anything about his wife being with him though.

RIP. I used to love Press Your Luck.

Ah Press Your Luck...Great concept. It was such an interesting show especially with that one contestant that memorized how the board would go so they had to re-jig it so the board would be more random.

I guess Peter finally got his 4 whammies in life. Glad to see that he was involved so much with volunteerism.

I saw it a few times. Too bad. He hadn't been doing anything lately, right?
