    Norton Antivirus 2006

I have 3 computers on a network that all need to renew subscriptions for an antivirus program, so I am going to buy Norton 2006 for them. There is the standard Norton Antivirus 2006, and there is the 3-user Norton 2006. Would I have to get the 3-user package since I have the three computers, or could I just get the cheaper regular Norton 2006 and have it shared throughout the network?

I would uninstall Norton and install AVG Free on all of them.

Is this a reliable program? I looked it up on download.com and both the editor and the people gave it a 4 out of 5 stars which is pretty good.

i use AVG & have had no problems for over a year.. you wont get all the "bells & whistles" since it is free , but for an anti-virus fighter, AVG is very good...

Plus AVG isn't a resource hog like Norton is.

Avast! is another excellent free virus scan program.

Paying for AV programs is not smart at all. Just go for the free ones. or get the serial codes.

Most of the major broadband service providers give free AV software anyways. Comcast gives out McAfee on their website along with Firewall software as well.

I would get Avasat over AVG

                  % Trojans detected: AVG = 28.5 % Avast = 81.4 % (Norton AV 95.3%)
                  % of Viruses detected: AVG= 87.4 % Avast = 91.06 % (Norton 99.4%)

Scroll down to ".4" to see more comparisons
