Funny how he had no problem with the religous stuff until they made fun of Scientology (his religion). Hipocrite. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: South Park "loses" one over religion
Pretty funny that he was cool picking up checks while making fun of everything else on the planet, but when they target scientology he suddenly develops some scruples and thinks it's so offensive. What a joke.

Re: South Park "loses" one over religion
While Chef, or shall I say the vioce of Chef, is tough to replace, it's not really that big of a loss. Chef simply hasn't been in very many episodes the past couple of seasons.
Still, tough to see him go.
And, yes, he's a hypocrite.Comment

Re: South Park "loses" one over religion
I mean I guess I can understand why he said that...
He doesnt believe in those other things, so he feels he can make light of them.
But when they make fun of something he believes in, he gets pissed..... thats not to far fetched
I quit watching South park because of the religous jokes, but lets not get into that here... this is operation sports.Comment

Re: South Park "loses" one over religion
I wrote an article for my school newspaper not too long ago saying how South Park is heading into its 10th season... pretty wild to think about considering I remember watching the first season with my mom... haha
It is pretty funny that he got upset when his religion was made fun of and did not make the scene when Catholosism, Judiism, Mormans, etc. were made fun of.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? Re: South Park "loses" one over religion
That's kind of the reason why I laugh when I hear that people get offended about certain things. It's a freakin joke. It's funny to me how people get so offended when someone makes fun of or remarks on something they are passionate about and then the same person who got offended will do the same thing to someone else.
It's ok if you're going to get offended but then don't make light of other people's beliefs then. This kind of stuff is getting so overblown now it just cracks me up.
A lot of people have two sets of standards. One set for the stuff that's important to them and one set for waht everyone else thinks. I guess that's human nature it seems like. People are so focused on there own beliefs they forget that it's ok for other people to have different thoughts than they do.
It's also funny how some of these companies are now having two sides fighting over they're getting offended. I think it's with Ford advertising in gay magazines. First this religious group complained so they pulled all there ads. Then the Gay rights groups complained so they advertised again. Now the religious group is saying they are going to boycott Ford. It is hilarious.
Anyway... that's my rant.... carry onComment

Re: South Park "loses" one over religion
thats the great thing about South Park... they make fun of everyone, no matter their affiliation, theyre an "equal opportunity offender" (as quoted by one of their commercials). They point out the ludicrious from each and every segment of society... poke fun at it, then make you think a little bit by the end of it all.Comment

Re: South Park "loses" one over religion
I don't really see him as a hypocrite. Yes they've made fun of other religions, but Scientology gets dumped moreso than any other religion out. Although I found the epsiode hilarious, and one of the better ones in a while, I could see how it might be a final straw.
The thing I find funny is he decides to quit..... About what? 4-5 months after that episode aired?
edit: After remembering some of the other shows they've made fun of other religions..... He's a hypocrite. I just remembered the The Passion of The Chris special they had....ahhhhh“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried.
