This points out a very major flaw in how most people think in terms of freedoms and freedom of speech in general, as long as they agree with it then it's fine but if it's offensive to them then they want it banned or censored, never stopping to think that others may see things differently. That's why whenever I hear someone is trying to ban something or censor someone that I at first glance agree with I stop and ask myself would I also agree with banning it if I was in support of it?

A good example is smoking. I'd like in theory to ban it completely as I hate smoking, and some merits could be made that it hurts health by it being legal so why not? Well the reason being is that beer, cheesburgers and pizza all are in the same general boat but I certainly don't want those banned! So yeah, being hypocritical is not mature and a sign of poor empathy.

Tom Cruise also allegedly got the rerun of the Scientology episode pulled from the air...

Sources from inside Paramount and South Park Studios report that parent company Viacom pulled last night's scheduled repeat of the high-rated "Trapped in the Closet" episode after the humorless Scientologist movie star Tom Cruise threatened to cancel all publicity for Mission Impossible:3 if Comedy Central aired the episode that satirizes Scientology and mocks his sexuality again.

Not only is this the first time that the South Park creators have been officially censored in their ten hit seasons with Comedy Central, Viacom officials also reportedly ordered Matt Stone and Trey Parker not to discuss the reason why their episode was cancelled.

The South Park boys are said to be angry, but will probably get revenge with the manner in which they deal with Scientologist Isaac Hayes' departure from the show.

Kinda late to this one, but this is all very funny cause Hayes was on Opie & Anthony like 2 months ago and someone asked how he felt about the episode and he said he had no problem with it because he knew that they ripped on everyone. It's a funny clip when you listen to it now

I guess he just got tired of the show and didn't know how else to explain leaving.

Re: South Park "loses" one over religion

While the "South Park" creators didn't directly comment on Comedy Central's decision to pull the episode, they issued an unusual statement to Daily Variety indicating the battle is not over.

"So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun! Temporarily anozinizing our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies. Curses and drat! You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!!!"

The duo signed the statement "Trey Parker and Matt Stone, servants of the dark lord Xenu."
                          Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.

Trey and Matt talk about it on letterman... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUzoH...h=south%20park

18-1 hell of a season regardless
