Pay as you go plans

does anyone know that has one? i have a friend from the UK and he's looking to get one. he might be here for another year (most likely not 2 years). it will be his only phone, so he's looking for something PayG plan that can work as his primary line. Any thoughts as to the best/cost effective?

I use Virgin Mobile. The phones are not too expenive and the rates are the best for what I've found.

Same here, I've used Virgin Mobile for over a year and it's a great value if you don't gab alot on the phone.
