The movie is getting great reviews. This film was suppose to come out last year but it got pushed back. I like the original storyline and the trailer is fantastic.

I found out there's a special late show tonight at one of the local cinema's here.

I wouldn't be surprised if this films pulls in over 30+ mil this weekend.

I really want to see it, but I have to work tomorrow night. I might go to the late showing when I get off....

A storyline in which a terrorist bombs government buildings because he feels our civil liberties were taken away by a fascist regime isn't exactly original.

The movie sounds interesting, but I wish it could have been made as a fantasy movie instead of a political piece. I know art is a product of its time, but in today's climate where almost everything is politically charged and/or offensive to someone, I wish people like the Wachowski brothers would just stick to making entertaining movies like the Matrix instead of pushing a political agenda.

Well, the storyline is twenty-plus years old, correct?

Yeah it's an old comic book.

True, but if the movie were made 20 years ago, it would be like the comic book was - a fantasy view of a post-apocalyptic England with a bunch of German fascist imagery. But since it's made today, it's just another installment of typical Hollywood pro-civil-liberty, anti-totalitarianism where they glorify a terrorist and call him a freedom fighter while he blows up buildings housing bad government people.

            I'll pass.

I don't care about the "political message" of the film. I just want to be entertained when I fork over my $11.

Yeah, I detatch myself too as much as possible and I'm totally able to view things purely as entertainment. Like when I watched Episode III. But if you don't agree with a message, it's tough to rationalize supporting the people delivering it with your $11 no matter how entertaining it is, you know?

                    Re: V for Vendetta

The movie was supposed to be release in November coinciding with the 400th yr anniversary of GUY FAWKES, who in real-life tried to blow-up Parliament in 1605. The release was postponed due to the Bombings in London..

I will probably see this over the weekend via IMAX Theater. The review I read states that you'll be hard-pressed not to notice the Political overtones during the movie. Is that Good or Bad, we'll see
