Out of all those movies i've seen only one, and thats # 27 Breakdown, which was really good imo.

I've seen a bunch of these. I'm not sure all of them qualify as "overlooked," but there are some very good movies on this list. Such as....

      Waiting for Guffman (#6)
      The Hudsucker Proxy (#7)
      Searching for Bobby Fischer (#14)
      That Thing You Do! (#16)
      Sneakers (#18)
      Bottle Rocket (#75)
      Glengarry Glen Ross (#92)
      Mystery Men (#100)

Also, Joe vs the Volcano was overlooked for a reason. It sucked.
      Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.

        I've only seen a few.

        Waiting for Guffman
        Bottle Rocket
        GlebGarry Glen Ross
        Sneakers

Bottle Rocket has long been on my list of most underrated movies.

I've seen "That Thing You Do!" and "Hamlet" and they were both pretty good.

Re: Top 100 overlooked movies in the 90's

            I've seen 17 of them.

The DVD just came out and I'm pretty sure it said that My Neighbor Totoro was released in 1988.

Exotica is a good choice as I overlooked it since the DVD/VHS cover makes it look like a softcore porn movie and I was too self-conscious to bring it to the front counter. It's not like the cashier would know that it's one of the best movies of the 90's. I waited for a friend to buy it so I could borrow his copy...

Miller's Crossing is a good #1. It was a gangster movie with a great cast that came out when everyone loved gangster movies, yet it was overlooked somehow.

I guess I've seen 10 of these, and some of these are some of my favorite movies of all time.

              27. Breakdown-Good movie, very suspensful (Kurt Russell, Kathleen Quinlan)

              28. Welcome to the Dollhouse-Kind of disturbing, yet draws you in

              39. Beautiful Girls-Absolutely fantastic. This is the movie where every guy fell in love with Natalie Portman...even though she's like 12. (great cast!-Matt Dillon, Annabeth Gish, Lauren Holly, Timothy Hutton, Rosie O'Donnell, Natalie Portman, Michael Rappaport, Mira Sorvino, Uma Thurmon)

              46. L.A. Story-All I remeber about this is him driving around with a Garfield doll stuck to the OUTSIDE of his back window (Steve Martin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Marilu Henner, Kevin Pollak)

              48. A Bronx Tale-Fantastic movie ("You had a chance to leave...now, you CAN'T leave") (Robert De Niro, Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pesci)

              50. A Perfect World-Absolutely love this movie!!! Never could figure out why people dismissed it. (Kevin Costner, Clint Eastwood, Laura Dern)

              56. The Ref-GREAT movie. Dennis Leary is hilarious. (Dennis Leary, Kevin Spacey, Christine Baranski)

              78. Great Expectations-Good movie. Long and slow, but definately good (Ethan Hawke, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hank Azaria, Chris Cooper, Anne Bancroft, Robert De Niro)

              80. A Midnight Clear-This is one no one has ever heard of. Saw it about 6 8 years ago on AMC (i think). Absolutely loved it. Good cast (Kevin Dillon, Ethan Hawke, Gary Sinease)

              84. The People vs. Larry Flint-Good movie, great performances (Woody Harrelson, Courtney Love, Edward Norton)

That was the movie I was looking for when I opened it. That movie, imo, deserves more praise than any of Wes Anderson's other films even though I like them all.

Very Bad Things was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

                        I liked....

                        Searching For Bobby Fischer
                        That Thing You Do!
                        Strange Days

And A Midnight Clear is really one favorites.

I've seen 19 of them. The ones that stand out for me are

                          Fearless
                          Hamlet
                          Defending your Life
                          The Spanish Prisoner
                          L.A. Story
                          One False Move
                          Glengarry Glen Ross

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

The Hudsucker Proxy and Searching for Bobby Fischer were both great movies. My wife watched Bobby Fischer the other day for the first time and loved it.

The People vs. Larry Flynt was also a pretty good flick.
