I know not everybody watching Season 5 has seen the other seasons, so I didn't want to drop any spoilers in the Season 5 thread.
If you somehow clicked on this thread even with the spoiler warning, this is your last chance to hit the back button before it's too late.
I'm all caught up on my 24 now. Thank god for DVD boxsets because I only started watching this season but was able to pick up all 4 seasons on DVD. I'm actually tired from my 24 viewing marathon. No commericals and having to wait a week for a new episode
Here's some random thoughts:
Season 1
- The seaso got off to a great start with the twist on the plane. I'm sure all of you thought the guy was actually the "photographer" and the villian. Another great twist with Kim Bauer's friends "Dad" actually being a villian.
- I knew Nina Myers was a villain before I watched this season. But even with that said, this was the best twist in 24 history and it will never be topped. They did a double bluff because near the beginning of the season Jack though Nina was a mole but he was wrong at the time.
- Next to Nina Myers, Victor Drazen is the best bad guy in 24 history. He was a complete bad ***. I actually said out loud "oh ****" when he shot Mila right in the head.
- My main man LDP showed up towards the end of the season, too bad he died.
- The ending was great because it really showed how different 24 was when compared to other shows. The DVD had another ending where Teri survived.
Season 2
- Jack really changed after Season 1. He was more ruthless. He chopped a guys head off and used a terrorists children (pretended to kill one of them) to get intel.
- I didn't know Sara Gilbert was on the show.
- The whole cougar incident wasn't as bad as I thought. It only take up about 1/3rd of an episode. I'm amazed at how trouble she got into. Her character was really annoying.
- George Mason went out on top. I was actually sad to see him go.
- Too bad Marie Warner turned out to be a villian, she was cute.
- This season had the biggest stakes, because not only was there a nuclear bomb storyline, but World War 3 might have happened if the US attacked.
- I felt like the last 1/3rd of the season was disappointing. There was too much involving Sherry Palmer.
Season 3
- Awww the season where Kim worked at CTU.
- I liked Chase Edmunds. He brought a different element to the show.
- I can't believe he played Russian Roulette in jail and almost killed Chase later by pulling the gun in front of the Salazars.
- The Salazer brothers were good 1st half villians. The 2nd half villian, Stephen Saunders, had a really nice back story. I liked it how it all connected to Jack's past.
- I wonder what was the point of Season 2's cliff hanger, because the Palmer hand thing didn't even effect him this season.
- I was actually sad to see Nina die. I'm I the only one that found Nina Myers attractive, especially with the longet hair?
- Chappelle is the best annoying character in 24 history. I actually cracked up when he said he didn't really have any friends or family. At least he took one for the team once he got shot in the head by Bauer.
Season 4
- James Heller was a badass. He was still mouthing off the terrorists even though he was captured.
- Another mole in Maryanne.............
- I actually cheered once Tony came back to save Jack.
- I didn't like Driscoll in the beginning but I felt bad for her once her daughter died.
- LOL at Edgar wanting to interrogate one of the SOB's involved with the nuclear meltdown. I noticed whenever he picked up the phone, he said "Edgar Stiles". Chloe was really mean to him.
- Chloe finally got involved in the action. She's got pretty good aim for a rookie.
- I wonder what happened to Behrooz?
- President Logan is an idiot and Palmer had to bail him out.
- Manning kicked Mandy's *** and the bad guys in the office.
- The weirdest part of the season was when Heller's son turned out to be gay. It just seemed really out of place. So according to the writers, the terrorists knew where James Heller would be because they met his son at a bar, went home for a threesome, and also got the info.

Overall I really enjoyed all 4 seasons. The extras were really lacking in Season 1, but 2,3, and 4 are jam packed with them. Brenda Walsh even does commentary on one of the episodes in Season 4.
I would rank the seasons like this:
1. Season 1
2. Season 3
3. Season 4
4. Season 2
I would group Seasons 1/3/4 really close together but Season 2 was a clear drop off.
